CelloFeast comes to Philadelphia with a weekend seminar for adult cellists, from beginner to advanced.
The seminar will include ensemble playing, techniques classes, luthier presentation, panel-discussions, masterclasses, and public concerts and performances.
CelloFeast is a forum in which to share the love for the cello through playing, studying, listening, and sharing experiences.

Dr. Stephen Framil

Critically acclaimed throughout the world, Dr. Stephen Framil has appeared as concert soloist in Carnegie Weill (New York) and Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra (Hungary), among others. Dr. Framil has given masterclasses in cello and chamber music around the world, including the Shanghai Conservatory (China), University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana), DePaul University (Chicago), and Longy School of Music (Boston).
Professor Andre Gaskins

Andre Gaskins enjoys a diverse career as cellist, conductor and music educator. His recording of Martinu's 'Concertino' for SUMMIT RECORDS was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Awards. As a soloist Gaskins has appeared with the Indianapolis and Pro Arte Chamber Orchestras, and the Columbus, LaGrange, Richmond, Fort Smith and Carmel Symphony Orchestra in Indiana. Having served as the teaching assistant to world-renowned cellist Janos Starker, Professor Gaskins currently teaches at Columbus State University, and is the principal cellist of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
